The official announcement from QatarEnergy detailed the new prices as 2.05 QAR per litre for diesel, 2.10 QAR per litre for super gasoline (95) and 2.00 QAR per litre for premium gasoline (91). This marks a reduction of 0.05 QAR for the premium grade compared with the July price. The energy company issues such updates on the last day of each month for the following period.
According to QatarEnergy’s announcement for July carried by the Qatar News Agency, the premium gasoline price had been raised to 2.05 QAR from 2.00 QAR in June while the other two grades stayed the same. The reversal for August brings the 91-octane fuel back to its June level. QatarEnergy data shows these monthly changes are routine adjustments aligned with prevailing market conditions.
A fuel price history document from QatarEnergy lists premium gasoline starting 2026 at 1.95 QAR in January before falling to 1.80 QAR in February, holding at 1.85 QAR through April, rising to 1.90 QAR in May and reaching 2.00 QAR in June. Diesel remained at 2.05 QAR for most of the first half of the year after an earlier reduction. Super gasoline saw incremental increases over the same timeframe according to the company’s records.
Trading Economics figures place Qatar’s average gasoline price at 0.56 US dollars per litre in July 2026, reflecting the local pricing structure after conversion from QAR. The platform’s data indicates an increase from 0.53 US dollars in June. Such trends provide context for the domestic retail adjustments made by QatarEnergy each month.
The company responsible for the pricing is the fully integrated oil and gas giant that also leads Qatar’s LNG exports. Earlier statements from QatarEnergy outlined ambitions to expand the North Field project, lifting annual LNG production to 110 million tonnes. The fuel price setting for local consumption operates separately from the export-driven segments of the business.
