Dandy Sets QR5 Offer Price for QSE IPO | AI-Generated Image

Qatar News Agency reported that Dandy Ltd had successfully completed the book-building process for its initial public offering. Nineteen institutional investors participated in the tranche, resulting in oversubscription that established the final offer price at QR 5 per share. The company also received a no-objection letter from the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, clearing a major hurdle ahead of the public offering and eventual listing on the Qatar Stock Exchange main market. This outcome reflects robust demand for the shares of the Qatari food producer.

The book-building covered the institutional allocation of 12.36 million shares, which represents 30 percent of the total 41.2 million shares on offer. Those shares equate to 40 percent of Dandy’s QR 103 million share capital. The public tranche will consist of the remaining 28.84 million shares at the same QR 5 price, according to details released by the firm in its June 14 announcement via Qatar News Agency. The price fell at the lower end of the indicated range of QR 5 to QR 5.20 per share excluding offering and listing fees.

According to its corporate background, Dandy has manufactured and distributed dairy, beverage and ice cream products in Qatar for more than 45 years since starting as the nation’s first dairy producer in 1971. The company has built a diverse portfolio that includes yoghurt, laban, flavoured milk, labneh, cream, fresh juices and multiple ice cream varieties. Company profiles highlight its popular Bon Bon bite-sized ice cream as a market favourite across the country.

The successful institutional response arrives as global dairy markets demonstrate steady expansion. The OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook reported that world milk production grew 2.1 percent in 2025, reaching 1,005 million tonnes, while dairy prices rose amid consistent demand. Such trends could bolster confidence in local manufacturers like Dandy seeking to tap public markets for growth capital.

Qatar News Agency indicated that Dandy is now completing the remaining regulatory approvals and procedural steps before launching the public subscription phase. The timing and exact details of the retail offering will be announced separately in due course. This IPO forms part of broader activity on the Qatar Stock Exchange, which serves as a cornerstone for the country’s economic diversification strategy under its National Vision 2030.
