The Qatar Stock Exchange general index stood at 10009 points after shedding 45.74 points or 0.45 percent at the opening of trading on Thursday. Qatar News Agency reported that the move reflected pressure across most sectors with only real estate showing early resilience. Market capitalization hovered near QR 602 billion in mid-August summaries published by the Qatar Stock Exchange.
