The Qatar News Agency reported declines in four sectors at the opening. Consumer goods and services led with a 0.94 percent drop. Industrials fell 0.4 percent while real estate and telecoms eased 0.08 percent and 0.03 percent respectively. Banks and financial services gained 0.21 percent in the early session.

Trading Economics data places the index at 10,020.84 points for the close on August 13 after a 0.35 percent decline that day. The Qatar Stock Exchange maintains a market capitalization of roughly 601 billion riyals with 55 listed companies. A QSE review noted the recent addition of Mosanada Facility Management Services that helped increase the number of listings. The exchange has pursued greater diversification across equities and other asset classes throughout 2026.
