ROX Motor said in a statement that it has completed its Advanced AI Manufacturing Centre in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi and begun local vehicle production, with the first three ADAMAS models rolling off the line bearing the Made in the Emirates mark. The 10000-square-metre facility, developed in partnership with the state-owned Abu Dhabi Investment Office, enables sub-assembly of more than 80 vehicle component types along with full assembly, calibration, rain testing, road testing and final inspection. ROX Motor added that the site will serve both domestic demand and exports to regional and international markets.
The company expects the centre to deliver an initial production capacity of 20000 vehicles in 2027 before scaling to 300000 units a year by 2030. Earlier announcements from ROX Motor indicated the project would contribute up to 10 per cent toward the UAE’s Operation 300Bn industrial strategy, which the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology has positioned as a cornerstone for raising national manufacturing output to AED300 billion. According to a May 2026 agreement with Kezad Group, the centre forms part of a broader ecosystem that includes logistics, advanced materials and talent development.
ROX Motor established its global headquarters in Abu Dhabi in late 2025 and has pursued localisation through collaborations with UAE entities. The company has integrated materials from Borouge into 17 components of the ADAMAS model, completing the transition from laboratory testing to vehicle integration in under six months, Khaleej Times reported in coverage of the partnership. A separate agreement with the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute aims to build local workforce capabilities in advanced manufacturing.
Arabian Gulf Business Insight reported that Rox Motors plans to unveil its first UAE-designed car in March 2027, further embedding Abu Dhabi in the brand’s research and development activities. The company has also announced the second season of its GRAND TOUR expedition, with two of the initial Made in the Emirates ADAMAS vehicles set to travel from Abu Dhabi across multiple West African nations before arriving in Casablanca. ROX Motor described the vehicles as part of a platform that aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision for innovation in mobility technologies.
Gulf automotive manufacturing efforts have intensified in recent years as countries seek to reduce reliance on imports and build export-oriented industries. Rox Motors signed an agreement in June 2026 to produce vehicles in Egypt through a partnership with Ezz Elarab and Elsewedy Capital Holding, extending its regional footprint beyond the UAE. Industry assessments place the price range for ADAMAS variants in the UAE between AED230000 and AED350000, though the company has not issued an official local pricing confirmation.
The production launch follows ROX Motor’s earlier commitments to position Abu Dhabi as a hub for luxury new-energy vehicles, including plans for a spare-parts centre in Jebel Ali to support after-sales across the MENA region. Company statements have consistently framed the UAE expansion as a long-term commitment that combines Chinese engineering expertise with local industrial infrastructure and market access.
