The Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department recorded QR322.45 million in sales contracts during the five-day period, according to its weekly bulletin. An additional QR65.45 million came from residential unit deals detailed in the real estate bulletin, bringing the combined trading volume to QR387.9 million. The traded assets included vacant land, houses, residential buildings, a commercial structure and individual housing units, the department’s data showed. Activity concentrated in the municipalities of Doha, Al Wakrah, Al Rayyan, Al Daayen, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira and Al Shamal, along with districts such as Lusail, The Pearl, Al Wukair, Al Gharrafa, Ghar Thuaileb, Al Khraij and Dafna.

The latest figures mark a decline from the previous week’s performance, when the ministry reported trading exceeding QR586 million between August 30 and September 3. This week’s bulletin from the department highlighted sustained but moderated deal flow compared with the prior release. The ministry has issued such weekly updates consistently to track registration activity at its real estate department.

Ministry of Justice figures for the full year of 2025 placed total real estate transactions at 5,154 deals worth QR20.98 billion. Those annual totals reflected a 45 percent rise in transaction numbers and a 44 percent increase in value from 2024, according to data published by The Peninsula. May 2025 saw the highest monthly value at QR2.52 billion while October led in transaction count with 571 deals.

Doha Municipality captured the largest share of 2025 trading volume at QR8.62 billion, the ministry’s annual summary showed. Al Rayyan followed with QR5.81 billion and Al Daayen ranked third at QR2.29 billion. Remaining municipalities including Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Khor and Al Dhakhira, Al Shamal and Al Sheehaniya accounted for the balance of activity.

Qatar’s house price index rose 8.15 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, a Qatar Central Bank series monitored by Global Property Guide indicated. The index stood at 243.28 in that period, up from earlier quarters amid broader market recovery. Rental yields held at an average 5.17 percent in the first quarter of 2026, with Lusail delivering 5.65 percent compared with 4.68 percent in Doha, the same analysis found.

The Central Bank’s data series tracks nominal and inflation-adjusted trends dating back more than a decade, showing cumulative nominal growth of 36 percent over 13 years. Market reports from Cushman & Wakefield noted that residential sales reached QR5.21 billion in the first quarter of 2026, a 27 percent increase from the year-earlier period. Mortgage values also climbed 29 percent to QR12.97 billion in that span, according to the consultancy’s assessment.
