N S Lootah Motors L.L.C. announced the opening of the first international showroom for SOUO motorcycles in Dubai, marking the premium Chinese brand’s debut outside its home market on September 24. The new outlet in Hor Al Anz East positions the UAE as the regional base for Great Wall Motor’s motorcycle division, with the company serving as exclusive local distributor for the line. Event attendees included a senior SOUO delegation from China, UAE business leaders, media, influencers and enthusiasts who examined the flagship model on display. Nasser Saeed Lootah, chairman of the N S Lootah Group, participated alongside key executives at the ceremony that highlighted engineering advances in the premium segment.
Specifications released at the launch detail the SOUO S2000’s 1,999cc horizontally opposed Flat-8 engine producing 153.68 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The motorcycle incorporates a 4-inch TFT display with navigation and connectivity features in addition to selectable riding modes, traction control, cruise control and tyre-pressure monitoring. According to materials distributed during the event, the configuration represents an unusual choice for motorcycles that aligns with the brand’s focus on distinctive design paired with advanced technology. Gulf News coverage of the opening noted the machine’s arrival as part of broader plans to introduce the line to Gulf consumers.
Victor Zhao, CEO of GWM SOUO, addressed the gathering on strategies for regional growth. “Through riding events, brand experience days, and exclusive owner clubs, SOUO will cultivate its brand culture in target markets and foster a loyal community of enthusiasts,” Zhao said. “Leveraging Dubai’s position as a regional hub, SOUO will systematically expand into Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, building a comprehensive footprint in the Middle East’s premium motorcycle market,” he added. Zhao led a team that also featured Miles Liu as overseas director, Benny Zhou as director of IBD, Uwe Moser as chief technical engineer and Rosie Chen as GCC regional manager.
Abdulla Alaraidi, general manager of N S Lootah Motors L.L.C., framed the launch as the start of sustained collaboration between the partners. “Opening the first SOUO showroom outside China here in Dubai marks the beginning of a long-term partnership and a shared ambition to build a strong presence for the brand in the UAE and the wider region,” Alaraidi said. “Choosing Dubai for this milestone reflects the city’s global position as a market that embraces innovation, technology and exceptional mobility experiences,” he noted. The statement from N S Lootah Motors confirmed the showroom will handle reservations for both touring and cruiser variants of the S2000.
The brand’s local website lists the S2000 touring and S2000C cruiser models as available for reservation at the Dubai facility although pricing has not been published. Coverage from multiple outlets including tbreak indicated that further community-focused activities will support the rollout while the showroom serves as the initial point of customer contact in the UAE. Company statements emphasized that the event drew a cross-section of stakeholders interested in the premium mobility segment now entering the local market through this distribution agreement.
