Bank of Sharjah said in a statement that it recorded a net profit of AED 558 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. This represents an increase of 28.5 percent from AED 435 million reported for the same period in 2025. Profit before tax rose to AED 610 million from AED 480 million, which the bank attributed to higher net interest income and strong credit risk management.
The bank’s management discussion and analysis showed net interest income climbing 39.5 percent to AED 717 million. Net operating income increased 22.7 percent to AED 851 million over the period. The performance continues the positive momentum seen in the first half when the bank posted a net profit of AED 362 million, up 35 percent year on year according to its earlier report.
Total assets grew 13.5 percent to AED 54.9 billion from the end of December 2025 while net loans and advances expanded 24 percent to AED 37.7 billion. Customer deposits increased 7.8 percent to AED 34 billion during the same timeframe. The bank’s total capital ratio reached 18.9 percent, higher by 190 basis points, with the cost-to-income ratio maintained at 28.8 percent.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, chairman of the board, noted that the first nine months of 2026 featured a global environment full of challenges due to geopolitical tensions, rising expectations for interest rates and ongoing inflation. He pointed to the bank’s resilience in delivering these results despite those conditions. The chairman expressed satisfaction with the bank’s ability to navigate the complex landscape.
Mohamed Khadiri, the chief executive officer, said, “We are delighted to report another round of strong results with net profit for the first nine months up 28.5% year-on-year, supported by solid business growth, diversified revenue generation and improved asset quality.” Khadiri added that this reflects three years of consistent execution of the bank’s transformation plan. He pointed to the focus on supporting the UAE’s economic development.
