Air Arabia will resume daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport in India from October 16. The low-cost carrier said the restored route will offer travellers a direct daily connection between the emirate and the coastal city in Kerala. Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said in a statement that the airline was pleased to resume the direct service, providing customers with a convenient daily connection between both cities.

The resumption of the route reflects the carrier’s commitment to offering reliable and value-driven travel options that connect communities and support growing travel demand, according to Al Ali. Air Arabia launched the route in November 2023 with three weekly flights before progressively increasing frequencies in subsequent years. The airline operates from three airports in the UAE, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.

With the daily Kozhikode service, Air Arabia continues to strengthen its operations from Ras Al Khaimah. The carrier maintains nonstop flights from the emirate to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. Bookings for the resumed daily flights are available via the Air Arabia website, its call centre or authorised travel agencies.

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority data places overnight visitors to the emirate at a record 1.35 million in 2025, marking a 6 percent increase year on year, with Indian visitors rising 14 percent. The authority reported more than 670,000 visitors during the first six months of 2026 alone. India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing source markets for the destination.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport surpassed 1 million passengers in 2025 for the first time, recording a 51 percent jump from the previous year, according to airport figures. The facility has set a goal of handling 1.5 million passengers by the end of 2027. The daily air link with Kozhikode is positioned to support that expansion by catering to rising demand from key Indian markets.
