The Board of Directors of BRIDGE Alliance has approved a development strategy for the second edition of the BRIDGE Summit and shifted its timing to late November and early December 2027 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Miral. The alliance said in a statement that the event will become an annual occurrence from the second edition onward as it evolves into a sustainable year-round global ecosystem. This change from an earlier November 2026 plan allows additional time to strengthen specialised programmes, international partnerships and operational mechanisms aligned with the highest standards of excellence.

The inaugural 2025 edition attracted more than 40,000 participants from 182 countries and achieved a media reach of 834 million people according to the alliance. That gathering produced 1,276 business meetings and resulted in 48 agreements and deals signed while hosting specialised discussions on the future of media and transformations in content and creative industries. These results established a robust foundation that the current roadmap seeks to expand through structured tracks focused on knowledge exchange and opportunity creation.

BRIDGE Alliance will develop the summit into an active year-round platform that includes research, studies, strategic dialogues and roundtable discussions the statement detailed. The alliance plans to broaden its network of partnerships with governments, international organisations, universities, technology companies and leading media groups to incorporate global expertise into programming. Such integration across media, content, entertainment, technology and investment sectors is intended to translate ideas into scalable partnerships, projects and initiatives with economic value across international markets.

Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, chairman of BRIDGE Alliance, said the UAE’s model of embedding excellence and innovation into long-term planning guides the summit’s ongoing development. “Through the remarkable figures and indicators it achieved, the inaugural edition of BRIDGE demonstrated its ability to serve as a global platform bringing together decision-makers, leaders across media and content, investors and creators from around the world, and transforming this diversity into an integrated ecosystem for dialogue, collaboration and opportunity creation,” Al Hamed stated. He added that the first edition opened new avenues for investment and cross-border collaboration while demonstrating the event’s potential to become an influential global reference in shaping the future of media and creative industries.

Yas Island was chosen for its integrated entertainment and events ecosystem together with advanced infrastructure that will support a comprehensive five-day experience for global participants the alliance explained. The extended format creates greater scope for specialised programming, business meetings and partnership building beyond what was possible in the debut edition. The BRIDGE Summit website describes the event as a first-of-its-kind initiative that functions as both a conference and exhibition covering the full scope of media and entertainment related industries.

The approved 2027 development roadmap centres on three core pillars of partnerships, knowledge exchange and opportunity creation to cultivate a sustainable international community of media leaders, policymakers, innovators and content creators. Intensive efforts will target every aspect from content design to specialised tracks to ensure the summit rises to the ambitions established at launch the statement noted. Al Hamed emphasised that the coming period represents an investment in building lasting value whose impact extends across markets and reinforces the UAE’s position as a hub for global ideas and investment.
