Darwinbox, which serves more than 1,400 enterprises and 4.5 million employees worldwide, announced the launch of Cortex as a platform rebuilt from the ground up for the artificial intelligence era instead of layering new features onto legacy systems. The company said in a statement that Cortex encodes HR expertise, system capabilities and organizational workflows as intelligence that AI can reason over, allowing it to resolve queries while adhering to trusted guardrails. It also senses emerging patterns before they develop into problems, according to the announcement issued from Dubai.
Cortex relies on what Darwinbox termed the first Context Graph in the HCM category, a live unified map of an organization’s people, policies, workflows and decisions. This structure enables the platform to interpret context, forecast needs and initiate actions autonomously. The approach addresses limitations in earlier AI applications that improved search or automation but failed to deliver genuine organizational understanding, the company stated.
“Legacy HCM with AI bolted on is still legacy. With Cortex, we reimagined the entire HCM experience from the ground up and pushed the boundaries of what AI can do for HR through a series of innovations, including the first Context Graph in the category,” said Jayant Paleti, co-founder and co-CEO of Darwinbox. Chaitanya Peddi, also co-founder and co-CEO, added that the Context Graph sits at the core so the platform can reason, anticipate and act. “Cortex is the first HCM built on a Context Graph: a live, unified map of the organization — its people, policies, workflows, and decisions. With that understanding at the core, the platform can reason, anticipate, and act. That’s what AI-native means,” Peddi said.
The platform enters the market with a select group of global design partners that are collaborating directly with Darwinbox on intricate workforce challenges. Among them is Visteon Corporation, a Fortune 1000 automotive technology company. Technology partners supporting the launch include Microsoft, Slack and Glean, Darwinbox reported in its statement.
