Dubai Chambers said in a statement that it launched specialised training tracks on Tuesday through the Dubai Chambers Academy to equip more than 14,000 member companies of its Business Groups and Business Councils with the skills to adopt Agentic AI. The initiative is part of a programme to transition the private sector towards the technology, launched under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, chairman of Dubai Chambers, said, “The programme to transition the private sector towards Agentic AI reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing the vision of its leadership by preparing the business community to adopt advanced technologies and use them effectively to create sustainable value.”
Al Mansoori added that this will strengthen companies’ competitiveness and their ability to innovate and grow in the economy of the future. He noted that Agentic AI is opening up new possibilities for the way companies operate by helping manage complex tasks, enabling more effective decision-making, enhancing productivity and creating new opportunities for growth. The event was attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, president and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and 90 chairpersons of the business groups and councils.
According to the statement, the training tracks focus on providing practical guidance on applying Agentic AI in a business environment, exploring the latest tools and solutions to improve operations, efficiency, productivity and decision-making. The wider programme also includes establishing incubators for Agentic AI companies, supporting firms that develop and deploy such solutions, and promoting knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. Dubai Chambers formed the Executive Committee for Agentic AI in June to accelerate adoption across the private sector and reinforce the emirate’s position as a global digital economy hub, the Dubai Media Office reported in June.
A statement from Dubai Chambers to Emirates News Agency in February 2025 indicated that AI adoption within UAE companies had increased from 7 percent to 21 percent in three years, with expectations for continued growth. Figures from Dubai Chambers show that the organisation had 292,486 active member companies in 2025, reflecting a 13.2 percent annual growth rate and illustrating the reach of the current AI training drive. The chamber also attracted 549 advanced tech startups that year, marking a 916 percent increase in digital startups.
Dubai Chambers operates as a non-profit public entity supporting the emirate’s vision by empowering businesses and unlocking networks, following its restructuring in March 2021 that created three specialised chambers under its umbrella. Business Groups and Business Councils contribute to economic growth by representing diverse sectors and enabling dialogue with government bodies on improving the business environment. The new e-learning platform will deliver the Agentic AI tracks alongside other specialised programmes aimed at building private sector capabilities.
The training is designed to help companies build a strong foundation in the technology, identify practical applications and develop the expertise required for its expanding role in business, the statement said. This forms part of a two-year transformation plan that the Executive Committee is overseeing, including approval of the training and design of support mechanisms such as dedicated funds for selected companies.
