The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy launched the Business in Dubai platform on October 2, 2023 to provide technology companies with a single point of access for corporate services and growth opportunities in the emirate. According to the chamber, the platform includes a business-matching service that connects firms with partners, investors and customers while offering guidance free from bias. Ahmad Bin Byat, vice chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said digital companies requiring services such as web hosting, broadband or office space can utilise the platform as a one-stop shop. This setup removes the necessity for separate engagements with individual providers, he added.

The chamber signed seven memoranda of understanding with various organisations on the launch date, supplementing four agreements finalised in June to reach a total of 11 partners. These collaborators encompass Letswork, in5, the Dubai World Trade Centre, du, Mashreq, Dubai Islamic Bank and the Commercial Bank of Dubai. The pacts enable the delivery of specialised packages aimed at facilitating swift market entry and operational support for digital startups. Byat noted that such services are structured to be cost effective for emerging businesses.

The initiative supports the broader objective of fostering an environment where digital enterprises can advance the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the vice chairman stated. “This strategy is tailored to agile and fast-scaling companies within the realm of cyberspace,” Byat said. He pointed to the increasing number of young skilled individuals moving to Dubai to launch companies, attracted by the city’s advantages in the digital sector. Preparations for the North Star event at Dubai Harbour between October 15 and 18 that year formed part of the surrounding activities, the chamber indicated.

Partnership with Letswork grants platform users access to flexible workspace options across multiple countries. Omar AlMheiri, co-founder of Letswork, said, “We were one of the initial startups to collaborate with Dubai Chamber a couple of years ago. LetsWork connects users with on-demand workspaces. It’s similar to Booking.com or Airbnb but for offices and desks.” AlMheiri added that post-pandemic shifts toward remote and hybrid working models have increased demand for such adaptable solutions among both local and international firms.

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy data shows the chamber supported 1,210 digital startups with establishment and expansion in 2024, a 120 percent rise on the previous year. The total reached 1,690 startups through 2025, accompanied by the organisation of 36 events and publication of eight reports focused on the digital economy. A chamber report estimated the UAE digital economy will grow to well over $140 billion by 2031. International roadshows numbering 17 have also been conducted to promote Dubai’s digital business ecosystem, according to the chamber’s records.

The Business in Dubai platform continues to serve as a key tool in these efforts by simplifying procedures and building connections within the sector. Companies can engage with the platform via the official Dubai Chambers website to benefit from its range of offerings. The chamber has emphasised its role in helping tech firms navigate regulatory and operational requirements efficiently.
