e& said in a statement that consolidated revenue for the first half of 2026 reached AED 38.1 billion, an 11.6 percent increase from the same period a year earlier. The group recorded consolidated net profit of AED 6.0 billion, which represented 2.4 percent year-on-year growth after excluding the impact of a Maroc Telecom settlement and the Khazna sale gain from the prior period. EBITDA climbed 13.1 percent to AED 17.7 billion, yielding a margin of 46.5 percent, while the company declared an interim dividend per share of 47.5 fils that rose 10.5 percent from the year-earlier figure.
The statement highlighted that the group’s total subscriber base expanded 30.4 percent to 251.5 million, driven by demand for advanced connectivity and digital services across its international footprint. In the UAE, the subscriber count increased 6.4 percent to 16.5 million. These gains reflect growing customer adoption of innovative offerings that combine connectivity with AI-enhanced experiences for both consumers and enterprises.
Following a strategic portfolio review completed after the second quarter, e& sold its entire stake in Vodafone Group for gross proceeds of AED 21.9 billion, generating a net cash return of AED 4.8 billion, according to the announcement. The company also sold a 12.5 percent portion of its stake in Careem Technologies to Uber for AED 367 million. The transactions form part of a broader effort to sharpen focus on core telecommunications and digital businesses while optimizing returns for shareholders.
H.E. Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Alzaabi, chairman of e& Group, said in the statement, “Our results today confirm that the Group is making steady progress towards leading the digital future. We have successfully navigated regional and global challenges with agility and turned these challenges into real opportunities for business growth.” He noted that the performance stems from the strength of the core business portfolio together with investments in technology infrastructure and digital solutions, guided by the vision of UAE leadership.
Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, group chief executive officer of e& Group, said, “Despite the recent regional and global challenges, e& demonstrated the strength of its operating model and its ability to adapt throughout the first half of 2026. We also achieved a consolidated net profit of AED 6.0 billion and EBITDA of AED 17.7 billion, with a strong margin of 46.5 percent while maintaining healthy cash flows.” He pointed to proactive risk management, portfolio diversification, AI integration and disciplined capital allocation as factors supporting long-term growth and shareholder confidence.
The company, founded in Abu Dhabi in 1976, operates as a global technology group across 38 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe, the statement added. It provides mission-critical infrastructure such as sovereign cloud platforms, data centres and AI-powered solutions for enterprises and governments while delivering consumer services in entertainment, fintech and superapps.
