flydubai said in a statement that it will host its UAE National Careers Open Day on August 16 at the flydubai Campus in Dubai. The event targets UAE nationals including students, recent graduates and early-career professionals who seek roles in one of the region’s fastest-growing airlines. According to the carrier, participants will meet recruitment and talent development teams to discuss the aviation industry and the structured programmes that build necessary skills for sustained careers. This activity forms part of the airline’s contribution to the UAE national workforce agenda through targeted talent development in a key economic sector.
Programmes featured at the open day encompass the Engineering Apprentice Programme that leads to an aircraft maintenance engineering licence, the Flight Dispatcher Programme and multiple Pilot Training Programmes including Ab Initio and Second Officer options. The statement added UAE National Graduate Programmes to the list together with further development tracks spanning operational and corporate functions at the airline. Such offerings aim to establish a robust pipeline of Emirati professionals as flydubai scales its activities in response to rising demand for air travel.
The Dubai-based carrier operates a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft that includes 26 next-generation 737-800s, 68 737 MAX 8s and three 737 MAX 9s. It has more than 300 aircraft on order comprising 30 Boeing Dreamliners, 150 Airbus A321neos and 75 Boeing 737 MAX jets scheduled for delivery over the next decade, the company statement indicated. This fleet expansion is projected to generate long-term positions in engineering, flight operations, airport services, commercial activities, technology, finance and human resources among other areas.
flydubai maintains a network of more than 120 destinations across 58 countries and employs nearly 7,000 people, of whom 2,000 are pilots and engineers.
