Mekdam Secures Three-Year Ashghal Personnel Deal | AI-Generated Image

Mekdam Holding Group QPSC said in a statement distributed via the Qatar News Agency that its subsidiary had received the letter of award. The subsidiary Mekdam Technical Services W.L.L. will provide and second specialized professional personnel to Ashghal’s Designs Department. This forms part of a tender for staffing support. Contractual procedures will be finalized in accordance with all tender requirements before the agreement is signed.

The announcement specified that the project duration is three years from the commencement date. Operations will continue until the cumulative value of mobilization orders hits QR262.5 million, at which point the contract may conclude earlier. The award provides the group with greater certainty over revenues in its technical services division.

Mekdam Holding Group described the contract as particularly significant given regional uncertainties. It represents a key addition to the existing project portfolio according to the statement. The win is expected to boost visibility on future business volumes. It also reinforces the group’s ability to maintain momentum in a challenging environment.

The company posted revenue of QR681.1 million for full-year 2025, up 21.9 percent year on year, according to its annual report. Net profit for the period reached QR41.9 million with an earnings per share of QR0.261. A contract backlog of QR3.1 billion at year-end underpins the group’s growth trajectory.

Ashghal has maintained an active awarding schedule throughout 2026. The authority assigned contracts exceeding QR4.5 billion in the first quarter alone, a report from Construction Week Online indicated. One notable example is the QR1.179 billion redevelopment of Hamad General Hospital awarded to a local joint venture. These projects advance Qatar’s infrastructure objectives under the National Vision 2030 framework.

Mekdam Holding Group secured a separate QR203.9 million manpower supply contract from Qatar Fertiliser Company in 2025, Gulf Times reported at the time. That five-year agreement supports major industrial initiatives including carbon capture efforts. The Ashghal staffing deal further diversifies the group’s public sector engagements.

The group operates primarily in technology services, manpower supply and centralized monitoring systems. Its 2025 financial results also showed improvements in operational efficiency and reduced financing costs. This latest contract aligns with the company’s strategy of portfolio expansion across core competencies.
