Qatar Airways said in a statement that it has launched a partnership with Uber for Business to provide greater flexibility and convenience for corporate travellers and businesses worldwide. The airline’s press release distributed via QNA noted that the collaboration is the first of its kind in the MENA region and allows members of the Beyond Business corporate travel programme to redeem Qrewards for Uber ride vouchers credited directly to users’ Uber wallets. This setup supports ground transportation for business purposes across markets where Uber operates. The announcement detailed how the integration extends Qatar Airways’ offerings beyond air travel to cover end-to-end journeys for companies of all sizes.

A Qatar Airways press release distributed via QNA said the tie-up delivers seamless premium travel experiences through Uber for Business while its central dashboard enables travel managers to maintain oversight, enforce policy compliance and maximise savings on expenses. The statement added that the arrangement creates further opportunities for corporate travellers to save and earn rewards during business trips. Businesses gain improved capabilities to track and control overall travel spending through the combined platform. Corporate ground transportation and employee mobility receive dedicated attention under the partnership according to the release.

The Global Business Travel Association forecast global business travel spending to reach a record $1.71 trillion in 2026 while the number of trips surpasses 1.84 billion. A separate report from the International Air Transport Association projected seven percent year-on-year growth in managed corporate travel spend for 2026 with the Middle East region forecast to expand by nine percent. These figures reflect rising demand for integrated air and ground solutions that address both transportation costs and operational efficiency. Technology and financial services sectors lead the projected growth according to the IATA outlook.

Qatar Airways said in the statement that Beyond Business members already access free high-speed Wi-Fi on up to 323 Starlink-enabled daily flights as part of their programme benefits. The release noted that participants can earn and redeem Qrewards while receiving Privilege Club tier offers and priority baggage services. The corporate programme operates across five tiers that scale benefits according to annual travel spend levels with entry available at no cost for qualifying organisations. Dedicated account management and an online portal form additional elements of the programme the airline reported.

The partnership builds on Qatar Airways’ recent completion of Starlink installation across 150 widebody aircraft including the first Boeing 787-9 equipped with the service according to an earlier carrier announcement. More than 23 million passengers have used Starlink onboard the airline’s flights since the rollout began in October 2024 a separate Qatar Airways statement indicated. The Beyond Business programme originally targeted small and medium enterprises when launched in 2019 before expanding to businesses of all sizes with tiered rewards and flexibility a prior release from the carrier showed. Employees continue earning personal frequent flyer miles under the Privilege Club while companies accumulate collective Qrewards.

Uber for Business transforms corporate ground transportation and employee mobility with intuitive tools that meet modern workforce expectations the joint announcement stated. Vouchers obtained through Qrewards redemption integrate directly into the Uber application to simplify booking and reimbursement processes. The dashboard functionality supports automated expensing that reduces administrative burdens for travel managers across international operations. This development aligns with broader industry shifts toward mobility-as-a-service solutions in corporate travel management.
