The Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice reported real estate trading volume of QAR 371.352 million for the week of September 13 to 17. Sales contracts registered during the period reached QAR 314,535,182 while residential unit sales in the Real Estate Bulletin totaled QAR 56,817,055. The combined figure marks a decrease from the QAR 387.9 million recorded for the prior week between September 6 and 10, according to the department’s data.
The ministry bulletin listed the traded properties as including vacant land, residences, residential buildings, commercial buildings and residential units. Sales transactions concentrated in the municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Daayen, Umm Salal, Al Wakrah, Al Khor and Al Thakhira, and Al Shamal. Additional activity occurred in areas such as Lusail 69, The Pearl, Al Wukair, Al Gharafa, Ghar Thuaileb, Al Kharayej and Al Dafna, the report showed. This distribution highlights broad participation in the market.
A report from Economy Middle East indicated that Qatar’s real estate sector has seen weekly trading volumes fluctuate between QAR 330 million and QAR 586 million in recent months. The publication noted that July trading reached QAR 1.86 billion across nearly 1,500 transactions. Such levels point to sustained momentum in the sector supported by demand for various property types.
The Real Estate Registration Department has issued similar weekly bulletins consistently, providing transparency on market activity. In the week of August 30 to September 3, sales contracts alone exceeded QAR 586 million, the department reported previously. The latest release continues this practice of detailing both overall sales and residential unit transactions separately.
Data published by the General Real Estate Regulatory Authority on September 21 indicated that property sales for the week of September 13 to 19 reached QAR 430.7 million across 120 contracts. Villas accounted for the largest share at QAR 203.5 million followed by vacant land at QAR 178.5 million, according to the authority. This data complements the ministry figures by offering further breakdown on property types and mortgage activity.
Al Daayen Municipality led in sales value with QAR 137.9 million during that period, the authority’s data showed. Doha and Al Rayyan followed with QAR 105 million and QAR 97.8 million respectively. The alignment between the two reporting bodies reinforces the picture of active trading in key areas of Qatar.
