The Qatar News Agency’s tally listed 24 companies advancing, 23 declining and six closing unchanged for the day. The data from the agency placed the session within a market environment that has shown varied daily movements in recent weeks. Such figures provide a snapshot of liquidity and participation levels on the exchange.
Marmore MENA Intelligence projected corporate earnings in Qatar to expand 8.3 percent in 2026, driven largely by the financial sector that represents 59.7 percent of total market earnings. The consultancy noted that banks such as Qatar National Bank and Commercial Bank are expected to post EPS growth of 12 percent and 12.7 percent respectively. These forecasts stem from spillover benefits of LNG expansion projects and stronger domestic demand.
A Marmore MENA Intelligence assessment found the benchmark P/E ratio had declined to 11.9 times in 2025, below the five-year average of 13.5 times, while average dividend yields stood at 4.5 percent. The research group highlighted that energy and manufacturing stocks offered yields near 6 percent in some cases. Valuations have become more attractive following market corrections in prior years.
Qatar Stock Exchange data indicated the benchmark posted modest gains of 1.8 percent across 2025 before entering the current year. The exchange has focused on liquidity expansion, product diversification and digital infrastructure upgrades throughout 2026. Sustainability-linked products have also drawn increased interest from institutional investors.
Trading Economics figures showed the QE index at 9,985 points on the prior trading day before Tuesday’s advance. The index had declined 4.73 percent over the previous month and stood 9.41 percent lower than the same period a year earlier. Analysts at the data provider expect the index to trade near 9,924 points by the end of the current quarter.
