Vodafone Qatar said in a statement distributed by the Qatar News Agency that it has established Infinity Signal Services LLC as a wholly owned subsidiary responsible for the management, operation and development of the company’s telecommunications tower assets and passive infrastructure. The announcement, made in Doha on August 30, forms part of the operator’s broader corporate restructuring that includes several other Infinity-branded entities. The company indicated the new unit will contribute directly to its long-term strategic objectives.
A 6Wresearch assessment found the Qatar telecom tower infrastructure market stood at USD 1.363 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 1.962 billion by 2032, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 5.3 percent. This expansion is driven by ongoing 5G deployment and various smart-city projects across the country. Vodafone Qatar’s latest move aligns with these sector trends according to the consultancy’s outlook.
The operator continues to work closely with relevant regulatory and governmental authorities to support its activities. Such coordination enables the company to contribute to the development of Qatar’s telecommunications infrastructure ecosystem. All initiatives adhere strictly to the applicable regulatory framework, the statement emphasised.
The Communications Regulatory Authority reported that Qatar achieved a score of 98.4 out of 100 in the International Telecommunication Union’s ICT Development Index for 2026, placing sixth among 159 economies assessed. The country secured full marks for inclusive connectivity and maintained 99 percent population coverage for 5G services alongside complete fibre-optic reach. These benchmarks provide a robust environment for infrastructure-focused investments by operators.
Al Raya newspaper reported that Vodafone Qatar recorded net profits of 401 million riyals in the first half of 2026, reflecting a 22 percent increase from the comparable period a year earlier. The operator serves 2.1 million mobile subscribers after a modest 0.8 percent rise in its customer base. These results were supported by growth across mobile services, managed solutions, fixed broadband and wholesale operations together with disciplined cost controls.
Company filings earlier in 2026 listed multiple subsidiaries under the Infinity umbrella, including Infinity Solutions for operational services and Infinity Payment Solutions for fintech innovation. The addition of Infinity Signal Services extends this portfolio by concentrating on core passive infrastructure. The approach is designed to enhance asset value and generate sustainable returns for shareholders over the long term.
