XM Launches GOLD24-7 Weekend Gold Trading | AI-Generated Image

The online brokerage XM detailed in an announcement its expanded precious metals offering which now includes the new GOLD24-7 symbol designed for uninterrupted gold trading. According to the company’s specifications GOLD24-7 operates on an MT5 platform with trading hours that extend through weekends including Saturday from 00:00 to 10:05 and 10:35 to 24:00 GMT plus 2 as well as full Sunday availability. The instrument uses a synthetic pricing model derived from market sentiment when traditional markets are closed allowing traders to respond to global developments in real time. XM stated that dynamic leverage of up to 20 to 1 applies based on trade volume for this product.

Standard gold and silver contracts remain available during regular market hours with varying account-dependent conditions XM reported. Spreads on gold can start from 2.3 pips on the KIWAMI Extreme account with no commissions or swaps while maximum leverage reaches 1,000 to 1 on standard and KIWAMI accounts. The broker’s conditions include zero commissions across its precious metals trades along with assurances of no order rejections or requotes. Silver trading follows similar competitive parameters as part of the broader more than 1,400 assets available on the platform.

World Gold Council figures show that gold traded an average of 361 billion dollars per day in 2025 reflecting its status as a highly liquid safe-haven asset amid geopolitical and economic uncertainties. The council’s data places above-ground gold stocks at roughly 220,000 tonnes valued at 31 trillion dollars supporting diverse participation from investors to central banks. Central banks accumulated an average of 1,000 tonnes of gold annually over the past four years more than double the previous decade’s pace a World Gold Council survey found.

XM received the Best Gold Broker award for 2026 from Capital Finance International the judging panel announced in March. The organisation highlighted the broker’s provision of stable liquidity and execution quality noting that more than 700 million gold positions were opened on XM’s platforms during 2025. Group co-CEO Menelaos Menelaou said in a statement that the awards reflect the stability built over 15 years of operation.

The introduction of weekend trading addresses growing demand for flexibility in precious metals markets where price movements can occur outside conventional weekday sessions according to industry observations. Traders can now manage positions and react to news-driven volatility without waiting for Monday openings under the new instrument’s framework. XM positioned the product as complementing its existing gold and silver offerings that target both novice and experienced participants.

This new development aligns with broader trends in the CFD industry toward extended trading hours for popular instruments a pattern also seen in recent launches by competing brokers. Similar products have appeared from other providers seeking to meet client needs for continuous access to gold as a safe-haven asset. The company’s regulatory disclosure emphasises that leveraged trading carries high risk and may not suit all investors.
