The Real Estate Regulatory Authority, known as Aqarat, reported that The Pearl Island achieved the highest trading levels with transaction values surpassing QR2.08 billion across all asset classes in the first nine months of 2025. Lusail Zone 69 came in second with QR993 million in deals. Al Dafna 61, Al Wukair and Al Gharrafa each recorded more than QR800 million, according to the authority’s social media post covered by The Peninsula newspaper.

Aqarat noted strong demand for luxury properties at The Pearl while mixed-use and residential projects drove activity in Lusail and Al Wukair. The authority stated that these areas benefit from world-class infrastructure that continues to attract investors and buyers. Such performance confirms the real estate sector’s confident and steady growth, Aqarat added.

A Mordor Intelligence assessment placed the value of Qatar’s residential real estate market at $13.45 billion in 2025. The sector has shown overall transaction values reaching approximately QR26.02 billion across nearly 7,000 deals during the year, according to market reviews. Knight Frank data indicated residential sales volumes rose substantially in the third quarter of 2025 compared with the prior year.

Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy for 2024 to 2030 positions the real estate sector as a key driver of economic diversification and attractiveness to foreign investment, the National Planning Commission has outlined. The strategy targets average annual economic growth of 4 percent and $100 billion in foreign direct investment by 2030, according to a Deloitte analysis of the plan. Real estate reforms support these aims by creating a more investor-friendly environment.

A recent decision on the Preliminary Real Estate Register aims to regulate off-plan property units and related documentation to align with national development goals. The register includes title records, contracts, architectural designs and approved engineering plans for projects. This measure forms part of broader regulatory updates that have enhanced transparency in the market, according to the authority.

In the period since the first three quarters of 2025, weekly transaction values have continued to register in the hundreds of millions of QR, the Ministry of Justice Real Estate Registration Department figures show. For example, one week in June 2026 saw trading reach QR388 million across various municipalities including key zones like The Pearl and Lusail. These figures come from periodic bulletins issued by the department.
