mb.io Adds Botim for Easier UAE Crypto Funding | AI-Generated Image

According to a press release issued by mb.io and distributed via Zawya, the regulated digital asset platform has partnered with Botim to let users in the UAE fund accounts through a familiar payment flow directly in the application. The integration draws on MultiBank Group’s institutional infrastructure and global regulatory standards to support crypto spot trading. Users no longer need to exit the mb.io app and navigate separate payment steps before returning to trade. This change targets one of the more fragmented parts of the digital asset user journey.

Naser Taher, founder and chairman of MultiBank Group, said getting an account funded should never be the hardest part of trading crypto. “Botim is part of daily financial life for millions of people in the UAE,” he said. “Integrating Botim as a payment method into mb.io means our users can go from zero to trading with fewer steps, less friction, and a payment experience they already know.” Taher added that this is exactly the kind of accessibility the group is building toward. The statement positioned the partnership as a practical step to reduce barriers for participants.

The press release described how Botim has evolved from a VoIP application into a fintech platform delivering payments, remittance, cards, credit and investment services. Botim holds licenses from the Central Bank of the UAE under Stored Value Facility and Retail Payment Services and Card Schemes categories. Kavi Choitram, senior vice president of Botim Business, said the funding step is where user experience and trust are tested for digital asset platforms. “By enabling Botim as a payment method within the mb.io app, this partnership provides UAE users with a familiar and regulated way to fund their accounts,” Choitram said. He noted that the collaboration reflects Botim’s user-first approach to embedding trusted payment capabilities.

mb.io offers crypto spot trading, the $MBG utility token and an upcoming real world asset marketplace, the release stated. MultiBank Group said it serves more than two million clients across over 100 countries with average daily trading volume exceeding $35 billion and a peak of $55.8 billion recorded in April 2025. The group holds 18 regulatory licenses globally, including authorizations from VARA in Dubai and ASIC in Australia. mb.io is headquartered in Dubai and focuses on providing access to cryptocurrencies with regulatory oversight.

Botim serves over 160 million users across 155 countries, according to details in the announcement. The company is headquartered in Abu Dhabi as part of the Astra Tech and G42 ecosystem. It combines AI-native technology with regulatory credentials to deliver inclusive financial solutions spanning connectivity, payments and investments. Botim is available as a payment method for UAE users in the latest version of the mb.io app.
