DLD launches AI-powered registration platform | AI-Generated Image

The Dubai Land Department announced the launch of its Initial Registration platform to streamline the developer journey through integration of project registration, real estate transaction registration and escrow account management. According to the department’s statement, the system deploys artificial intelligence to automate processes, read documents such as Emirates IDs, passports and sales contracts, then extract data and populate fields automatically. This approach delivers more efficient and transparent digital services while supporting the sector’s readiness for growth and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global destination for real estate investment.

A statement published on the Dubai Land Department’s website noted that the platform aligns with an announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for enabling 50 percent of UAE government sectors, services and operations to function through autonomous self-executing artificial intelligence models within two years. The department reported that the platform was unveiled at a ceremony held at Grand Hyatt Dubai and attended by its acting director general, chief executives and representatives from public and private sectors. The event included a presentation on the platform’s features and a discussion of its services to enhance developer experiences and streamline transactions.

Project 360 forms a central element of the system by providing a consolidated view of each project covering unit status, escrow accounts, financial data and project records alongside early warning indicators that help identify challenges and enable timely intervention, the Dubai Land Department explained. Greater clarity across procedural stages and responsibilities strengthens coordination between developers, the authority and banks managing escrow accounts. Developers gain the ability to operate through a single account for multiple companies and projects with defined user permissions and separate roles for submitting and reviewing transactions.

W Capital Real Estate Brokerage data places Dubai property sales at AED286.4 billion during the first half of 2026, the second-highest half-year total recorded as the market transitions through a cycle of sustained demand. Khaleej Times figures show the Dubai Land Department recorded 104 completed projects worth more than Dh111 billion in that period, reflecting a 52 percent rise in value from the first half of 2025. Arabian Business reporting indicated new project launches exceeded AED275 billion in the same timeframe, the largest first-half cycle in the emirate’s history.

The platform launch builds on the Dubai Land Department’s prior digital initiatives including tokenisation projects and unified customer portals that have processed increasing transaction volumes, according to the authority’s published records. A DLD statement issued with the announcement highlighted that among stakeholders the authority is enhancing the ease of doing business and reinforcing transparency and governance, building investor confidence and supporting Dubai’s long-term competitiveness. Officials at the launch ceremony discussed how the integrated digital journey would reduce friction for developers navigating expanded market opportunities.
