Qashio announced this month that it had become an Official Supporter of the Ryder Cup 2027, which will mark the competition’s centenary at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland. The Dubai-headquartered fintech company framed the partnership as a natural alignment with events that matter to its cross-border clientele operating in more than 20 countries. Armin Moradi, the company’s chief executive, said in the statement that leading firms should appear where their clients aspire to be. The announcement came from Sherpa Communications on behalf of Qashio and listed worldwide partners for the event including Rolex, Stripe, SAP, Capgemini, DP World and Smurfit Westrock.
Moradi, who has long-standing personal connections to Ireland, described the country as a second home and voiced his enthusiasm for both golf and the Ryder Cup’s values. “Ireland has been a second home to me for years. I love golf, I love what the Ryder Cup represents and there couldn’t be a better place for its centenary than Ireland,” he said. He added that Europe had won the last two editions and that he hoped to attend when the team secured a third straight victory. The 2027 staging will be only the second time the biennial contest has been held in Ireland after the 2006 event at the K Club.
Qashio’s support for the Ryder Cup forms part of its wider European expansion that includes a new Dublin headquarters and the planned launch of Qashio Labs as an R&D centre ahead of the tournament. The company’s statement noted that its Irish growth was advanced through the UAE-Ireland relationship via the Investopia initiative with backing from UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri as well as IDA Ireland and senior Irish officials. A PitchBook company profile places Qashio’s total funding at more than 32 million dollars since its founding in Dubai in 2021. The firm specialises in corporate cards, expense tracking and accounts payable automation for businesses seeking real-time visibility and control over spending.
Bilateral trade between the UAE and Ireland surpasses 2.6 billion dollars annually, according to an Economy Middle East assessment that highlighted Irish strengths in pharmaceuticals, machinery and food products alongside UAE exports of refined petroleum and electronics. Irish government figures show agri-food exports to the UAE reached 105 million euros in 2024 with dairy and beverages forming the largest categories. The joint economic commission concluded in Dubai in December 2025 agreed to expand trade missions, delegations and cooperation in transport infrastructure to build on this foundation.
Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer at the European Tour Group, stated that the competition had grown into one of the largest events in global sport and offered a world-class platform for leading businesses to engage international audiences. Qashio’s announcement emphasised that its customers and staff operate across borders and that the company was never built around a single geography. The firm intends to have its Irish R&D hub fully operational before the 2027 tournament, extending its commitment to the market it first entered with a headquarters launch in late 2025.
The Ryder Cup is scheduled for September 13-19, 2027, at Adare Manor with practice days running from September 13 to 16 followed by match play. According to the original announcement, Qashio views participation in the Irish-hosted centenary as enormously significant to its European ambitions. Moradi concluded his remarks by noting the straightforward strategic value of visibility at category-defining occasions.
