According to the Emirates News Agency, a high-level Chinese delegation comprising 15 prominent women entrepreneurs concluded its two-week official visit to the UAE with a stop at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ajman Business Women Council to explore avenues for collaboration across multiple sectors. The visit, organised by the General Women’s Union in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Beijing, aimed to foster exchanges of expertise and develop investments between business communities in both countries. Dr. Nora Sultan Al Marzouqi, a board member of the Ajman Business Women Council, delivered the opening address at the forum, stressing its role as a platform for direct experience-sharing and new partnership formation while highlighting Emirati women’s contributions to trade, industry, technology and sustainable projects.

Al Marzouqi noted that the Ajman Business Women Council includes more than 1,200 women and entrepreneurs and supports their project growth through training tools and active partnerships with over 40 government and private entities. Those efforts have driven a 40 percent expansion in women’s projects in Ajman over the past three years, the council member added in the WAM-reported briefing. The delegation represents companies and business groups with combined annual revenues of approximately 4.85 billion yuan, spanning industry, trade, hospitality, tourism, food security, biotechnology, infrastructure, new energy, smart lighting, real estate, investment services, textiles and clothing.

WAM figures show the Chinese visitors engaged in a dialogue and networking session that allowed entrepreneurs from both sides to exchange visions, identify shared cooperation fields and pursue mutual opportunities. Bilateral meetings held on the sidelines expanded communication channels and enabled concrete discussions on potential partnerships and business development. The Ajman Chamber presented the emirate’s economic advantages, investment incentives and regulatory environment to the delegation as part of efforts to attract foreign capital.

The Emirates News Agency reported that the programme across several emirates included field visits to free zones, specialised facilities and roundtable discussions, all designed to translate conversations into long-term commercial and investment projects. Similar forums have taken place in recent years, including an Ajman Chamber delegation’s participation in the China-UAE industrial and investment cooperation conference in Shenzhen, where officials promoted opportunities in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy and technology. Public data from the Ajman Chamber indicates it maintains 544 Chinese members, underscoring established business links that such visits seek to deepen.

UAE-China economic relations have expanded steadily, with China serving as the UAE’s top trading partner for non-oil goods, a position reinforced by multiple bilateral agreements and high-level exchanges. The Ajman Business Women Council has pursued parallel international partnerships, including memorandums with businesswomen groups in Oman and Serbia, to exchange best practices and organise joint events that empower female-led enterprises. Officials at the September 24 gathering expressed hope that the latest meetings will yield follow-up initiatives, such as reciprocal visits and collaborative projects, to sustain momentum in women-driven economic cooperation.
