SpaceX said in its earnings release that total revenue for the quarter ended September 30 climbed 161 percent from $5.6 billion a year earlier while net income swung to a $4.4 billion profit from a $1.1 billion loss. Adjusted EBITDA more than quadrupled to $8.8 billion from $2.2 billion in the prior-year period according to the filing with securities regulators. The results marked the first solidly profitable quarter for the company since it listed on Nasdaq earlier in 2026 under the ticker SPCX.

The company’s Super Intelligence segment which houses its artificial intelligence and high-performance computing activities generated $7.56 billion in revenue an 830 percent jump from $813 million a year ago. That performance was propelled by new cloud-services contracts the completed acquisition of Cursor and broader adoption of models including Grok the release showed. Operating income for the unit turned to a $431 million gain from a loss of $1.72 billion in the comparable 2025 quarter.

Connectivity revenue centered on the Starlink network rose 69 percent to $5.25 billion with consumer sales advancing 57 percent to $3.12 billion and enterprise plus government revenue climbing 91 percent to $2.13 billion. Starlink consumer subscribers expanded to 13.6 million from 7.2 million a year earlier even as average revenue per user eased to $69 per month the company reported. The segment delivered operating income of $2.37 billion nearly double the year-ago level.

Space segment revenue from launch services increased 6 percent to $1.77 billion despite a lower overall launch count as a favorable customer mix and the first revenue-generating Starship mission offset the difference. That Starship flight deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites adding roughly 10 times the downlink capacity of a typical Falcon 9 mission according to the earnings materials. SpaceX has completed 113 launches through the first nine months of the year.

Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen stated “We delivered another strong quarter in Q3. Revenue grew an impressive 161 percent year-over-year fueled by continued momentum in Connectivity and a clear inflection in our Super Intelligence business.” Nameplate compute capacity expanded to 1.7 gigawatts by quarter-end from 0.6 gigawatts 12 months prior as the company continued heavy investment in infrastructure. Capital expenditures surged to $19.59 billion during the period the majority directed toward AI-related projects.

Cash and cash equivalents reached $51.3 billion at September 30 with an additional $38.6 billion in marketable securities providing substantial resources for ongoing growth initiatives the results indicated. The earnings release highlighted that the combination of launch leadership recurring Starlink subscriptions and rapid scaling of compute capacity produced significant operating leverage across the business. Shares of SpaceX rose in after-market trading following the announcement.
