Air Arabia said in a statement that the additional daily service to Bangkok will begin on October 25, 2026 and bring the total number of non-stop flights between Sharjah and the Thai capital to 28 per week. The increase builds on three existing daily rotations and responds to sustained passenger demand on one of the carrier’s key leisure and business routes in Southeast Asia. With the change, travelers gain greater scheduling flexibility for both short breaks and longer stays in Thailand.

Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer at Air Arabia, said in the announcement, “Our expanded Bangkok service reflects the strong importance of Thailand within our network and our commitment to supporting growing demand for affordable and convenient travel between the UAE and Southeast Asia.” He added that pairing the new frequency with existing Phuket operations will further strengthen Sharjah’s overall connectivity to Thailand while giving customers more options. The executive noted the expansion aligns with broader market trends that have seen the airline steadily add capacity on high-demand Asian routes.

The carrier currently operates 21 weekly flights from Sharjah to Phuket, according to the statement, and the combined Thailand network will reach 49 weekly departures once the fourth Bangkok service is active. Thailand has grown into a cornerstone destination for Air Arabia since the carrier first launched direct flights to Bangkok in 2023. Successive frequency increases have tracked rising bookings from UAE residents seeking both leisure escapes and regional business opportunities.

Air Arabia’s full-year 2025 performance data showed revenue climbing 15 percent to AED 7.78 billion while passenger traffic rose 16 percent to 21.8 million, according to the company’s investor presentation. The carrier has expanded its network to 219 destinations across multiple hubs as part of disciplined growth that includes new routes and higher frequencies on established corridors. Such figures illustrate robust demand for low-cost connectivity to leisure markets across Asia.

Previous announcements from the airline document a pattern of progressive capacity additions on the Bangkok route, with the third daily flight introduced in October 2025. The latest move continues that trajectory and comes as the carrier maintains a modern fleet of more than 80 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Officials have consistently cited strong load factors and positive customer feedback as drivers for the repeated expansions.

The statement highlighted that the added flights will support tourism and trade ties between the UAE and Thailand by offering more direct travel opportunities from Sharjah. Air Arabia operates the flights using efficient single-aisle jets configured for comfort on medium-haul sectors. Bookings for the new schedule are now available through the airline’s website, mobile app and authorised travel agents.
