According to a statement from the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the first six months of 2026 saw 21,324 memberships processed, of which 2,681 were new additions to the roster. This performance builds on the momentum from 2025 when the chamber reported a total of 43,486 registered memberships for the full year, an increase from 40,031 in 2024. The figures underscore the emirate’s growing appeal as a business destination.
The chamber’s data further showed that certificates of origin issued during the period totalled 22,422 with a cumulative value surpassing Dh3.9 billion. Such documentation plays a vital role in facilitating international trade for member companies. Previous chamber reports indicated a 52.1 per cent growth in the value of these certificates in 2025 to Dh7.851 billion for the entire year.
In its announcement, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry attributed the positive indicators to the business community’s confidence in its services and their contribution to supporting the private sector. The chamber noted that these developments enhance the emirate’s competitiveness and investment attractiveness. This aligns with objectives outlined in Ajman Vision 2030 for fostering a competitive business environment that drives economic growth.
The chamber has committed to diversifying its tools and programmes to bolster member sustainability and expand export capabilities. One such initiative is the Furas for Export platform developed in collaboration with the International Trade Centre’s Trade Map. This platform aims to help businesses access international markets more effectively.
Officials at the chamber emphasised continued cooperation with both federal and local government entities. Such partnerships are intended to enhance integrated efforts and improve business services across the board. The approach contributes to private sector growth while positioning Ajman as an attractive hub for business and investment.
Earlier in 2026, the chamber had reported 10,618 memberships joined during the first quarter alone, according to its published updates. Professional and commercial memberships have consistently led the registration categories in recent periods. The sustained increase reflects broader economic expansion within the emirate and the region.
The chamber continues to focus on industrial sector development, with reports from early 2026 showing ongoing rises in factory registrations compared to prior years. These efforts form part of a wider strategy to diversify the economy beyond traditional sectors. Data from the chamber places the number of industrial establishments at 1,688 by the end of 2025, marking an 8 per cent increase from the previous year.
