WAM reported that the Ajman Land and Real Estate Regulation Department registered 5,435 trading transactions valued at Dhs7.64 billion during the first half of 2026. The same statistics from the department showed 969 mortgage transactions with a total value exceeding Dhs1.88 billion in the period. These categories contributed to an overall tally of 6,815 real estate transactions that surpassed Dhs10.8 billion, according to the department’s published Ajman Real Estate Index. The department attributed the aggregate figure to a mix of sales, mortgages and additional activity types.

According to the department, the single highest-value sale transaction stood at Dhs215 million and occurred in the Al Amera area. The largest mortgage transaction reached Dhs123.5 million in the Liwara 1 area. The department released both peak figures as part of its half-year review of market activity.

The Ajman Real Estate Index placed Emirates City at the top of the most actively traded major projects in the first half. City Towers ranked second among major projects followed by Ajman One, the index showed. Among neighbourhoods, Al Helio 2 led in transaction volume ahead of Al Helio 1 and Al Zahia according to the department’s data.

Engineer Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Ajman Land and Real Estate Regulation Department, said Ajman’s real estate market had maintained its positive performance, achieving results that reflect the strength of the sector and the diversity of investment opportunities across the emirate. Al Muhairi added that the real estate sector plays a pivotal role in driving the emirate’s economic growth and continues its exceptional expansion, reflecting Ajman’s standing as a leading investment destination and a promising real estate market. The director-general delivered the assessment in statements carried by WAM on July 14, 2026.

WAM noted that the department has used the Ajman Real Estate Index to track and publicise such half-year results on a consistent basis. The index has previously highlighted similar breakdowns of trading and mortgage activity to illustrate market trends. Al Muhairi has regularly commented on the sector’s role in the emirate’s broader economic performance through these updates.
