Brizon and Flow Neuroscience have entered a strategic partnership to introduce advanced digital solutions for mental health treatment in the UAE, the companies said in a joint statement. The agreement centers on Flow Neuroscience’s transcranial direct current stimulation headset paired with a companion application that delivers behavioral therapy. Brizon will contribute local market knowledge to support regulatory processes and distribution while the collaboration targets improved access to non-pharmaceutical interventions for major depressive disorder.
Flow Neuroscience, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Malmo, Sweden, has raised a total of $11.9 million according to CB Insights data. The company reported that more than 66,000 individuals worldwide have used its device with over 500 private practice clinics currently prescribing it. Its pivotal trial published in Nature Medicine showed 57.5 percent of participants achieving remission at 10 weeks, the firm’s clinician platform stated.
The Flow device applies gentle electrical stimulation to the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex for 30 minutes daily to restore typical brain activity patterns linked to mood, according to descriptions on Flow Neuroscience’s website. Real-world data from the company indicated 77 percent of users experience meaningful clinical improvement within three weeks. The system can function alone or alongside medication and has been piloted by multiple NHS services in the United Kingdom.
Flow Neuroscience gained FDA approval for its at-home depression treatment earlier in 2026, a development covered by WIRED. The Swedish firm maintains that its technology carries no serious adverse events in clinical testing and offers a favorable side-effect profile compared with some traditional options. Integration with remote monitoring tools allows clinicians to track adherence and outcomes in real time.
Brizon will facilitate initial pilot programs and clinician training as part of the UAE rollout, the joint statement noted. The partnership builds on Flow Neuroscience’s existing European footprint and recent regulatory milestones. Further expansion across the GCC may follow based on results from the UAE deployment.
