Europcar Dubai and Northern Emirates, part of Eurogulf Mobility Group, joined with VIP Rent a Car to deepen an existing relationship through a memorandum of understanding signed at Arabian Travel Market 2026, according to a joint statement from the companies. The agreement builds on a partnership established in 2023 that combines Europcar’s global network and operational standards with VIP Rent a Car’s specialisation in premium and luxury vehicles. Future efforts will focus on simplifying the customer journey while delivering consistent, high-quality experiences across all stages of travel in the UAE.
Dubai welcomed 869,000 international overnight visitors in August 2026, marking its strongest monthly performance since February, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism figures show. The emirate recorded 6.97 million such visitors from January through August, reflecting double-digit month-on-month growth since March and rising hotel occupancy rates. This resilience in tourism has increased expectations for seamless, personalised mobility options that extend beyond basic vehicle rental.
The collaboration integrates Europcar’s international mobility expertise with VIP Rent a Car’s local knowledge of luxury services to address evolving traveller needs, the companies stated in the announcement. Khaled Hamoodih, chief executive officer of VIP Rent a Car, said in the statement, “For our clients, time has real value. They expect mobility to be simple, responsive and reliable, without having to manage every detail themselves.” He added that the partnership would reduce complexity and provide greater peace of mind while continuing to raise service standards.
A representative from Europcar noted in the statement that the MoU creates a platform to expand the existing relationship. “By bringing together our operational capabilities and international service standards with VIP Rent a Car’s expertise in premium and luxury mobility, we can continue raising the quality of the experience we provide to customers in the UAE,” the statement quoted the executive as saying. The companies emphasised that mobility providers must look beyond the vehicle to deliver connected and reliable journeys.
Eurogulf Mobility Group, which operates the Europcar franchise in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, marked 50 years in the market this year while managing more than 12,000 vehicles across 14 locations with over 1,200 employees, according to company background information. VIP Rent a Car brings established capabilities in chauffeur-driven services, airport transfers and high-end rentals popular with business delegations, weddings and winter visitors. The partnership arrives as demand shifts toward premium options during Dubai’s peak travel season.
Both parties plan to leverage the agreement to enhance operational reliability and customer convenience in a market where adjacent sectors to tourism continue expanding. Industry data indicate that such collaborations help meet expectations for frictionless experiences that complement overall visitor stays. The companies indicated that additional joint initiatives would target consistent service delivery across the mobility chain.
