Alin Ciobanu opened the first international branch of Bossman’s Burgr Factory on Jumeirah Beach Road in August 2021 after online followers in Dubai encouraged the Romanian brand to enter the market. The National reported at the time that the launch included production of a 68-kilogram burger to draw public interest to the Umm Suqeim location. Ciobanu had already established five outlets in Bucharest and Constanta before selecting the UAE as a stepping stone toward broader international growth including the United States.
The company announced the five-year milestone on October 12 and described how teaser campaigns from Romania built anticipation ahead of the physical opening. Bossman’s Burgr Factory has since expanded to a second site at JBR Marina while focusing on oversized portions prepared with premium ingredients and recipes developed personally by Ciobanu. Repeat visits and recommendations from satisfied customers have driven the business forward according to the owner.
A Deloitte Foodservice Market Monitor issued in 2026 valued the UAE foodservice sector at $18.8 billion in 2025 and forecast average annual growth of 4.2 percent through 2030. Quick-service formats that align with the Bossman’s model are projected to expand at 5.3 percent during the same period within that overall increase the assessment found. These conditions have enabled specialised concepts to maintain traction in a market that also saw delivery rise to 36 percent of restaurant orders in the third quarter of 2026 according to Syrve MENA data.
Ciobanu highlighted the personal significance of the anniversary in a statement released with the announcement. “Then my brother and I walked into this location and saw that sign. It felt like the answer we were looking for. Five years later, what means the most to me is seeing people come back, bring their friends and enjoy the food,” he said. “Every recipe has my personal touch, and that will always be at the heart of Bossman’s as we look towards the next chapter.”
The brand has continued to promote its theatrical giant burgers and inventive sides through the owner’s social media channels a practice established during the 2021 debut. Its current menu incorporates vegan choices shawarma and value meals starting at 49 dirhams to address varying consumer preferences across dine-in and delivery channels. Syrve MENA figures show delivery orders per restaurant rose 15 percent for outlets offering the service during the third quarter of 2026 even as overall dine-in volumes declined.
Bossman’s Burgr Factory maintains its original 594 Jumeirah Beach Road address as the flagship while operating the additional JBR location company records confirm. The business has adapted to shifting demand patterns that saw the online food delivery market projected to grow from $10.86 billion in 2026 to $22.19 billion by 2034 at an annual rate of 9.34 percent according to Report Cubes. Ciobanu first articulated the United States ambition at launch and the Dubai operation has served as the testing ground for that longer-term objective.
