Qatar Airways marked its participation at the Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai with a pavilion that allowed attendees to explore the carrier’s advancements in premium travel and digital innovations, the airline said in a statement. The national carrier of the State of Qatar used the occasion to sign new memoranda of understanding with several key tourism boards aimed at strengthening global tourism links. Interactive screens throughout the stand highlighted emerging technologies that shape traveller experiences from booking through to the journey itself.

In the announcement Qatar Airways noted that it remains the first airline in the MENA region to introduce Starlink connectivity onboard its aircraft. A dedicated area within the pavilion illustrated the scale of the programme, which has already equipped 150 widebody aircraft including the world’s first Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 as reported by the carrier in August. Visitors examined how the low-Earth orbit service delivers fibre-like performance for video calls, streaming and business applications across the fleet.

The statement described Qsuite Next Gen as a fully customisable business class product featuring 4K OLED manoeuvrable in-flight entertainment screens. Quad Suites create the largest social space in the sky for up to four passengers while Companion Suites accommodate two, both with increased dining space and taller digitally controlled privacy dividers. Attendees could test adjustable privacy controls, ambient lighting and the dedicated Make My Bed button that activates the airline’s five-star turn-down service.

According to the release ATM visitors also engaged with the airline’s loyalty and digital experiences including Q Search and Infinite Awards. Qatar Airways launched its first-ever digital destination, QVerse Island within Fortnite, earlier in 2026 as a virtual recreation of Doha and Hamad International Airport. The experience enables users to explore the Qatari capital and interact with the brand inside one of the world’s most popular games.

Qatar Airways said the new memoranda of understanding signed at the event will enhance connectivity between key destinations and its expanding route network. The carrier operates to more than 170 destinations worldwide during the 2026-2027 winter season, an expansion outlined in a separate announcement earlier this month. These partnerships build on the airline’s role as a major driver of inbound tourism to Qatar and beyond.

A report on the Arabian Travel Market 2026 by Zawya indicated that the event is held under the theme Travel 2040, focusing on innovation, artificial intelligence and changing traveller expectations. Senior executives participating in roundtables stressed that technology must complement human elements of hospitality to meet demands for personalised and seamless journeys. Qatar Airways’ presentation aligned with these discussions by emphasising both digital tools and its award-winning product standards.

The airline’s most recent Skytrax recognition as the world’s best carrier for a ninth time came in 2025, according to its corporate records. This reputation underpins the innovations displayed at ATM, where the carrier continues to position itself at the forefront of connectivity and passenger comfort across its global operations.
