Qatar Real Estate Deals Hit QR1.29 Billion | AI-Generated Image

The Ministry of Justice placed the total value of real estate transactions during August at QR1.29 billion, according to a Qatar News Agency dispatch. This monthly aggregate drew from sale contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department along with residential unit deals tracked in the official bulletin. Activity spanned multiple property categories including vacant land, residences, residential buildings and commercial shops while concentrating in municipalities such as Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah and Al Daayen. The bulletin further highlighted notable volumes in developed zones like Lusail and The Pearl.

Weekly breakdowns issued earlier by the Ministry of Justice showed trading volumes exceeding QR353 million between August 2 and 6 with an additional QR330 million recorded from August 9 to 13. A subsequent period in the second half of the month pushed sales above QR371 million in one five-day span, contributing to the overall August sum. These periodic updates illustrate how shorter intervals of between QR23 million and QR56 million in residential units helped build toward the monthly figure. Such patterns align with the ministry’s ongoing release of real estate performance data.

Cushman and Wakefield’s Q1 2026 market overview reported that total sales reached QR5.21 billion across 1,162 transactions during that quarter. The assessment found this outcome reflected a 27 percent rise in value and a 13 percent increase in deal count from the year-earlier period. Residential momentum in the opening months set a foundation that later quarters built upon even as monthly totals varied. The report drew on Aqarat platform statistics to map these movements.

Qatar Central Bank figures show the residential property price index stood at 243.28 in Q2 2026, an 8.15 percent advance on the prior year. A Knight Frank review of the same initial quarter noted residential transaction volumes rose 15 percent annually to 1,582 deals while values totaled approximately QR6.2 billion. Villa prices eased 3.5 percent year on year to an average of QR6,626 per square metre amid expanded supply according to the assessment. These indicators point to measured adjustments within an otherwise active environment.

ValuStrat data indicated residential home sales climbed 23.6 percent quarter on quarter to 755 transactions in Q2 2026 with median values near QR3 million. The review recorded mortgage transactions across asset classes reaching QR16 billion in that period, up 9 percent from the preceding quarter. Such financing activity supported buyer participation even as apartment and villa segments showed divergent trends. The combined statistics from these independent analyses add context to the Ministry of Justice transaction totals.
