Nasdaq Dubai announced in a statement that it has listed a $1.75 billion three-year benchmark bond issued by the New Development Bank under the lender’s $50 billion Euro Medium Term Note programme. The move lifts the bank’s total listed debt on the exchange to $3.75 billion and reflects its ongoing use of Dubai’s markets to reach regional and global investors. The bond carries a 4.375 per cent coupon and matures in 2029 while forming part of the bank’s strategy to raise long-term capital for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS nations and other emerging economies.

The issuance secured a final order book exceeding $3.2 billion which represented 1.8 times the offering size according to the Nasdaq Dubai statement. Investor demand broke down as 65 per cent from Asia Pacific 32 per cent from EMEA and 3 per cent from the Americas. A broad institutional base took part including central banks official institutions banks fund managers and corporations.

The New Development Bank was established in 2015 by the founding BRICS countries of Brazil Russia India China and South Africa its official overview states. The UAE joined the bank in 2021 subscribing $556 million in capital according to the Ministry of Finance. Since inception the multilateral institution has approved more than 100 projects valued at around $37 billion focused on transport clean energy and social infrastructure across member and developing economies.

Daopeng Fu vice-president and chief financial officer of the New Development Bank said in the statement “Investor participation in the US$1.75 billion 3-Year benchmark bond issuance demonstrates strong market confidence in the New Development Bank’s robust credit standing and its development mandate of mobilising resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in NDB member countries and other emerging economies and developing countries. The bond issuance also underscores NDB’s access to diversified sources of international capital.”

Hamed Ali CEO of Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Financial Market said “New Development Bank’s listing reflects the continued participation of Supranationals in our fixed income market with investors engaging across geographies. Transactions of this nature allow international issuers to access diversified pools of capital through a transparent and internationally aligned platform while reinforcing Dubai’s position in sustainable finance and cross-border capital flows.”

Total outstanding debt securities listed on Nasdaq Dubai now stand at $143.9 billion the statement reported. The exchange recorded $13.8 billion in new fixed income listings across 33 issuances in the first half of 2026 according to Nasdaq Dubai figures. Such activity highlights the platform’s appeal to multilateral issuers seeking diversified funding channels.
